The new Ninja possible pot is an amazing piece of kit. It has 8 different settings, including a braise function which is perfect for this traditional braised beef with fluffy dumpling, and the best bit, the dumplings are are baked in the oven using the pot (yes it’s oven proof too) so they have that addictive crispy top.

Full list of ingredients is in the description.

Ingredients

800g braising beef

3 Onions

bag of chanteray carrots

3 stalks of celery

3 large potatoes

4 flat mushrooms

beef stock pot

Hot water

Worcester sauce

2 tsp dried sage

Dumpling mix

60 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil

Black pepper

Salt

Method

Peel and roughly chop the vegetables (onion, carrot, celery, mushrooms and potatoes)

Add 1 tbsp oil to the possible pot and seal the beef pieces using the SAUTE setting on HIGH.

Add the vegetables, season with salt and pepper and then add the sage, a splash of Worcester sauce, the stock pot and enough hot water to cover the veg/meat. Stir to combine.

Select the BRAISE function and cook for 3 hours staring occasionally.

In the final 10 minutes make up the dumpling mix as per the box.

Drop the dumplings on the top of the braised steak and place the possible pot into the oven for 20-25 mins until dumplings are crispy on top and golden brown.

Serve with fresh herbs.
