Slow Cook Bolognaise

There’s nothing better than comfort food on a cold winters day and spaghetti bolognaise has to be a staple in houses all across the country. This slow cooked version is really easy to do, perfect for when you just need something delicious with as little effort as possible.


We've used the Ninja Possible Cooker which has a sauté function so you can brown your onions and mince first but and slow cooker will work., You can purchase the Ninja version below:




Ingredients

For the slow cooker

500g minced beef

2 tins of chopped tomatoes

3 tbsp tomato puree

1 tbsp Worcester sauce

1 tsp each of dried thyme and rosemary

2tsp Italian seasoning

Garlic powder to taste

Mushrooms

1 large Onion finely diced

1 beef stock pot

Salt and pepper to taste


To serve

Parmesan

Fresh basil

Spaghetti



Method


If you slow cooker allows use the saute function to brown the beef and onions. If not you can use a pan or skip this step altogether.


Place ALL the ingredients into the slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours.


For the spaghetti cook in boiling water as per packet instructions and serve with the bolognaise on top. Add lots of Parmesan and freshly torn basil for a garnish.
