I'm sure a high percentage of the UK population has had a kebab on the way home from the pub at least once in their lives. This home cooked version is a great way to have a fabulous treat in the comfort of your own home, serve as soon as its cooked or better still allow to cool slice thinly and warm in the air fryer.

We used the Ninja Dual Air fryer but you can use any air fryer, here are our favourites.

Ingredients serves 6 (adapt for more people)

For the Kebab:

800g Lamb mice

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp coriander

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper

To serve:

Slice your meat and serve in some kebab wraps we added:

red onion

tomato

lettuce

garlic and italian herb yogurt

hot sauce

Method

If you have a blender use it as it gets the minced lamb to the right consistency. If you don’t use your hands.

Mix the meat and herbs together and make into a fry large sausage shape. We used some parchment paper to help compress ours.

Cook in the air fryer at 200C until the internal temperature reaches at least 71C approx 30 mins. TIP: Cover with foil half way if your kebab is catching on the top.

Allow your kebab cool for 30 mins before slicing. If your kebab has completely cooled just slice and warm in the air fryer for a few minutes.

Make some garlic and herb yogurt by combining greek yogurt , garlic granules and italian seasoning.

Serve the kebab slices in kebab bread with salad (we used red onion, lettuce and tomato) and the garlic yogurt. We also added hot sauce for an extra kick.
